Inspired by Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, we created a layered park scene of the 2015-2016 Fifth Grade Class at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.

Photos were taken of the student in various poses. The photos were then transformed into silhouettes and then into vector art files in order to be cut on the GCC Expert 24 LX Vinyl Cutter.

The student silhouettes were laid out across five 36" high by 48" wide sheets of clear acrylic and scaled in force perspective to give the piece a perception of depth.

Students painted the grass, lake and sky with the pointillism technique.
